Arrivals + Departures came to us with a heart-felt brief: find a retirement home, identify women whose children live far away, and make Mother’s Day unforgettable by reuniting them.

After months of planning, we had the stage set, the cast chosen, and the surprise ready to roll. Flights were booked, cameras were primed, and tissues were on standby.

Pulling it off wasn’t simple. Beyond the logistics of scouting, casting, and coordinating flights, we also had to rely on some user-generated footage from the travelling kids themselves to sit alongside the more cinematic material. Shots of a family packing bags and arriving at the airport, shaky, raw, imperfect, became some of the most powerful in the film. Rather than standing out as lower-quality, they added texture and authenticity. Proof that it doesn’t always have to be the perfect shot. It is more about what it says.

The result? A tear-jerking, goosebump-inducing reunion that played out like a feature-length drama in under three minutes. Every close-up, every reveal, every embrace reminded viewers that nothing hits harder than real human connection.

For Enbridge, this wasn’t just a seasonal spot. It was proof of their promise to “bring better” in ways that are tangible and deeply felt. For us, it was one of the most rewarding stories we have had the privilege to deliver.
