SOMETIMES IT’S HARD TO THINK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE.

Commercial Production • Art Direction & Set Design • Casting & Talent Management • Location Scouting • Cinematography & Crew • Offline Editing • Visual FX & Compositing • Colour Correction • Online Editing • Audio Mixing • Broadcast Delivery

We were thrilled to swing open the door to this project with our friends at Target Marketing & Communications. There’s just something about real, tangible props that brings a film to life… so when it came to the Househeads, we went all in on practical effects. The result? Depth, authenticity, and a campaign that quite literally put housing on people’s minds.

When our agency friends at Target Marketing came to us with their concept showcasing that housing is very much on Canadians’ minds, our first thought? Let’s build the Househeads props in 3D. But after a few tests (and a quick reality check on our timeline), we pivoted.

Instead, we called up our stop-motion partners with a challenge: build us hyper-realistic house models that we could literally strap to our actors' heads. If we nailed it, our clients would get to see the magic happening live on set - no guesswork, no green-screen imagination required. Plus, we’d minimize the VFX load and keep the whole thing feeling delightfully tangible.

The result? A seamless shoot, a streamlined post-production process, and a final product that hit every creative and logistical target. Turns out, that was smart thinking all along.
